Screening Assessments - Dyslexia or Dyscalculia

A dyslexia screening assessment is typically completed within two hours.  The diagnostic assessment includes tests of cognitive ability, literacy skill, memory, and processing speed.  Results include a 'dyslexia index' which indicates the degree to which results match a dyslexic profile.  A summary of individual strengths and weaknesses is also provided.  For further information on screening for the presence of an SLD, please refer to this link.

A dyscalculia screening assessment is typically completed within two hours.  The diagnostic assessment includes a measure of non-verbal reasoning ability, short-term working memory, and a variety of tests that indicate the likelihood of dyscalculia.

  Maths Proficiency Assessment

The stand-alone KeyMaths-3 assessment is not intended to diagnose dyscalculia.  Instead, it measures maths proficiency in the three main areas of basic concepts, calculation, and applied maths.  The score analysis report identifies gaps in mathematical knowledge which can then be specifically targeted by a school or tutor.  Assessments typically take three hours.
